3. How much notice does the Original Smith Island Cake Company need for a Smith Island Cake in-store pick-up order?
Smith Island Cakes are always available at the store for pick-up. However, if you desire a specific Smith Island Cake flavor, 48 hours notice is requested. Some Smith Island Cakes may not be available for same day pickup due to ingredient availability.

Smith Island Cakes are available for FREE delivery to the following areas in Maryland, Ocean City, Berlin/Ocean Pines, Salisbury/Delmar, Easton/Cambridge and Delaware beach residents. 48 hour notice is required!

AVAILABLE EVERYDAY
ORIGINAL SMITH ISLAND CAKE - A divine rendition of the ORIGINAL. Nine of the most delicate and perfect layers of spongy yellow cake punctuated by the thinnest layers of our old fashioned cooked chocolate icing that sets like fudge.

RED VELVET - Layers of moist red velvet cake electrified by layers of rich, sweet homemade cream cheese icing.

OTHER FLAVORS UPON AVAILABILITY

AS AMERICAN AS APPLE PIE – Our customers’ favorite. Spongy, moist apple cinnamon cake mingled with thin layers of succulent sliced apples, wrapped in cream cheese icing and topped with cinnamon and brown sugar. One bite will take you back to the good ole days.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER – We start with nine perfect layers of decadent soft white cake, top each with a puddle of creamy peanut butter and surround it with a velvety milk chocolate icing. It will bring back memories of a “gourmet” Tasty Cake.

COCONUT – For the coconut lover in us all, this cake is the one. Layers of our moist white cake, layer upon layer of Italian vanilla buttercream and coconut. The cake is then surrounded by an avalanche of toasted coconut!

CARROT CAKE - This perfectly spiced carrot cake will make you forget any other you’ve ever had. Featured a rich and bountiful blend of grated carrots, pineapple and sweet potato, then slathered with cream cheese icing.

PUMPKIN CAKE – It’s not just for Thanksgiving anymore. Moist, rich, and so satisfying. This year – round favorite is perfectly finished with the richest cream cheese frosting ever, and enveloped in graham cracker crumbs.

STRAWBERRY AND CREAM – Always a summertime favorite. Fluffy vanilla butter cream cake, with alternating layers of sweet strawberry purée and thinly sliced fresh local strawberries, robed with light and creamy whipped topping. Very Sweet.

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE FANTASY - Calling all Chocoholics. This dessert is for you. We start with our superb, rich milk chocolate cake, layer it with chocolate mousse, smother it with our decadent dark chocolate ganache and finish off with chocolate shavings. This cake is dripping in deep chocolate richness.

MANGO/PASSION FRUIT FANTASY - Bringing the “taste of the Islands” to the Eastern Shore. Rich vanilla bean cake layered with luscious passion fruit and mango puree. Topped with our light and fluffy Italian butter cream icing.

RASPBERRY TRUFFLE – A new turn on the classic chocolate & raspberry combination. Alternating rich dark and white chocolate cake, overflowing with the fresh raspberries and delicious raspberry puree, then hidden under our signature Italian butter cream frosting. Simply Scrumptious.

NUTTY IRISHMAN - A decadent combination of Irish Cream Buttercream and hazelnut chocolate delicately spread between layers of fluffy white cake flavored with a hint of Irish Whiskey. The perfect complitment to any St. Patty's celebration!

PEACH - Fresh sliced peaches layered betweem fluffy white cake and wrapped in italian buttercream.

TIRAMISU - Layers of spongey white cake are soaked with an espresso syrup and filled with creamy Italian cheese filling. The cake is coated in chocolate shavings, sprinkled with cocoa, and topped with chocolated covered espresso beans. This is our Smith Island take on the popular Italian dessert!

GINGERBREAD - Perfectly spiced gingerbread cake is layered with sweet cream cheese icing and finished with creamy buttercream. It's sugar and spice, and everything nice!

From Ocean City: follow Coastal Hwy (Rt 528) south to Ocean Gateway (Route 50 West), follow approximately 1 mile to the Ocean City Factory Outlets (on right). Our store is located adjacent to Sakura Japanese Steakhouse, and directly opposite the Dress Barn.
